The Toftly Retreat has been designed for couples and walkers needing a relaxing getaway but with everything to hand. Pickering town centre, where you will find all you need for a self catering break, is within walking distance from Toftly Retreat.


The comfortable bedroom has a kingsize bed, LCD TV, Bose sound system and of course the inevitable Egyptian cotton sheets.


A door from the bedroom leads into the spacious bathroom with the added luxury of underfloor heating, plus a generous walk in large drench shower. The bath entices with a ‘whisper’ system, just gentle bubbles to float all stresses away, perfect with a glass of chilled wine.


The kitchen is hand built with all modern conveniences and a range cooker for that country feel. There is a dining area with a traditional pine kitchen table and chairs looking out through the French doors onto the garden.


All your needs are catered for in the sitting room which has two comfy sofas (one a sofa bed) DVD player, Skyplus, WiFi internet, iPod dock and more traditionally books and games. Relax in front of the log burning stove with view onto the garden and hot tub.


French doors lead out onto the secluded garden with seating area and hot tub. Access to the car parking area is through a lockable gate. A shed is available as secure storage for bikes etc.

Toftly Retreat is open all year round perfect for all seasons.

The beautiful grounds at  Castle Howard are open daily all year round from 10am, Gardens, Adventure Playground, Shops and Cafés: The gardens close at dusk in winter with last admission at 4.30pm.  The shops and cafés close at 5pm.
